Unironically the only thing keeping me from liking this Pokemon design. The worst part is that it has a detailed rose on its head, just not the ones on its hands. If any anon here wants to explain this one I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, I'll just think of it as a victim of DiaPer's toy-like design philosophy for its Pokemon.

Tbh I think it’s mandated laziness, I would not pity the animators, spriters, and modellers who’d have to deal with that.

Beyond that I also feel like the flowers smushing together better represents a bouquet than the detailed flowers

I think ideally it’d be somewhere in the middle. The real one looks too simplistic, but the edit looks to detailed — the rest of Roserade’s body uses pretty simple linework. If the bouquets took out a few petals it’d be perfect.

Garbodor looks a lot better too when the artist tries to make the colored lumps look like actual garbage.

Because the flowers on its hands are too small and look like a cluttered mess with that much detail.
It's obviously not some mandate against realistic details considering they still gave it a detailed rose on its head.
