I honestly believe they had no intention of traditionally remaking gen 4 and they were just gonna release legends as their "remake" so be unpredictable. However, they then changed their minds after the swsh backlash, and then decided to do a 1:1 remake so it won't have anything involved with swsh.

I liked it the moment i saw it, and thought legends looked like a clunky mess that was running at 12fps

seeing /vp/ shit itself over it is wild. It's a pokemon game not made by game freak, it has the best chance of being good.

I have some hope that they *might* pay more attention to the mixed reception than GF and actually do something about it in a couple months to please everyone.
Even so, I'm still worried about it being a "faithful remake". They really need to add more than just enhanced visuals.

The funny thing is, it should've been compared to its proper rival, Link's Awakening remake (2019), yet it can be compared to A Link Between Worlds (2013).
Gamefreak went full retard by telling ILCA to remake DP 1:1 with worse graphics than its peers.
