Perhaps commoner clothing, maybe some fashions from around the world if the starting town is sort of a melting pot of cultures. If what we consider to be more modern shoes are ingame, I’d honestly expect them to be the clothing items that cost the most. XD Historical accuracy, since the rich were the ones to buy new styles, while the poor made due with what they could.
