not really flexing, but i am quite happy with my 7. the front face is beautiful. and at the time of purchase you could buy 3 grade 7s for the price of one grade 8, and 9s and 10s are hard to justify price wise. same thing with 1st edition stamps for me, i would rather add more metal and collect the unlimited or not perfect grades. besides 7 is lucky

How the heck did Japanese and French Pokemon cards end up proliferating as much as they did in America?

I don't mean now obviously; even when I was a kid in the late 90's in the midwest i would find them though and it's always puzzled me.

PTP has been opening boxes and shit since like 2009, his earliest videos were made before like 50% of Logan Paul's viewerbase were even sperm cells. honestly if he just left in like early 2020 like he said he would I would've had way more respect for him but I really don't blame him for returning a few months later once he realized "oh shit what the fuck the TCG market is exploding". haven't watched any of his newer videos but from the thumbnails it just looks like the typical "box opening channel" videos you see anywhere else on the platform. really the only thing the dude has over anyone right now is the fact that he's been on the platform for so fucking long.
I always think about the fact that people would just send him random cards in 2009 that are probably worth thousands today.

Black Star Promo Entei was very iconic because it was the very first reverse holo Pokemon card, and still one of my favorites to this day. My other favorite cards are Ho-oh Neo Revelations holo and Shining Tyranitar.

For playing with, absolutely not. Doublre sleeving is the absolute best way to keep your cards safe.

These are penny sleeves.
The ones I have in this binder are 2c and called ultra pro premium card sleeves. There is also ultra pro card sleeves (without the premium) and they cost 1c.

So penny sleeves are indeed a penny not 99c individually and they fit in binders. Not sure why that anon is having issues.

I think where Komiya exceeds at really humanizing pokemon in his art, arita exceeds at creating dynamic and cinematic scenes in his art. They're good in two totally different categories. Full and lifeless just isn't a fair criticism for a lot of aritas work, but it can certainly apply to it. But the same can be said for Komiya and Kizuki as well, even though they're also two of my top favorites

No no no, a PSA 1 is not remembering if you even had a card or not. PSA 2 is remembering you had a card but it doesn't physically exist in the real world or is a pile of ashes.
PSA 3 is having the card physically exist but you can't recognize which Pokemon it is. PSA 4 is being able to recognize the Pokemon but it has been shredded with a shredder or something.
PSA 7 is having the card in one piece but it has been folded and scuffed to shit. PSA 10 GEM MT is when you only have slight corner whitening and surface wear.

What was up with the weird distribution in these things? Pikachu was obviously rare but it seemed like the Water Pokemon had really piss distribution where there was a shit ton of Sobble/Froakie cards.

Some of the packs i opened had 3 grass types too.

How will Pokemon inevitably capitalize on the 25th anniversary card wise? Obviously they have the little 25 logo to slap on, but do you think they'll do like full "silver" cards like these ones? Something like the BK Gold Cards?

I could see them actually doing a reprint of some old sets like the neo sets. I was looking through the shining legends art book and they had scans of the original shining mons, but altered to remove the WOTC copyright. It'd be amazing if they did this, I'd be so happy if they reprinted some old sets

Should I invest on $SHF? Rare shiny Pokémon cards have a tendency of getting expensive over time (like Shining Charizard/Tyranitar and all the Shining Stars), unlike normal cards with shiny Pokémon in them (Water/Fairy Azumarrill, for example). I think that they're a good bet, but I don't know if they will be as expensive since there are so many of them.

The first 2 packs I got were pure fire types, both with holo scorbunny, the third was 3/5 fire with another scorbunny. The last few were a nice mix of gens and types.

Most of them were kind of boring, this one is at least starters and im a sucker for anniversary stuff.

The toys were usually some dumb garbage too, this time the stickers are pretty nice with brand new artwork as well.
