I think they'll sell just fine, but honestly do think they will be the lowest selling remakes. This is the first game to have another mainline releasing less than a year later, so people won't feel like it's the only "new" pokemon they'll have until further notice. I also do think the current artsyle is enough to put a lot of people off. When I was a kid, I would have thought this was intended for preschoolers, not for me. It looks cheap even for the style it went for. I can imagine a lot of children buying SWSH, growing up 2 years, seeing this and thinking it's a non essential spin off.

It will never be a failure, all those people posting shit fan art will buy it. Also, the amount of software people buy on Switch is ridiculous so that will make up for how underwhelming these remakes could be. I think people outside the cancer known as twitter are definitely more interested in Legends though.
