I would like to do a poll to see which game people completed the postgame in first, and when they graduated highschool
because I guarantee you most people's favourites are the games they went furthest in the postgame, and subsequent games feel worse because they aren't as compelled to do the whole endgame again

Easily the best 3D one, but I don't think it takes advantage of the hardware enough. It's definitely in the top 3 along with Gen 4 and 5, though.

GS are the most aesthetically pleasing. There was a study on this, pastel colors are the most easy on the eyes and invoke a serene sense of peace.

Fuck the haters, SM are some of the better looking 3DS games. I like the environments, mons are pretty expressive, and it's the only time GF did 3D right (considering technical limitations).

I still have a soft spot for RSE's tilesets and especially HGSS's environments, though. Battle sprites in GSC and BW are also peak in the series.

For all the shitty aspects of gen 7, Sun and Moon's overworld was fantastic. It unironically looks better than Sword and Shield since those games are so inconsistent, whereas Sun and Moon have really good visual cohesion.

You just have to think of it from this perspective, Gen V came out in the 2010s. Ten year olds playing Pokémon at that time are around 20-21. Average age on here is likely early 20s hence the Gen V sperg-outs. In a few years XY will unironically be the new spergfest.
