yeah they're alright, very basic pokemon games though. very much like regular bw in that the story seems to have leeched a bit from the rest of the game, but I did enjoy the characters. the dlc is pokemon at it's best... no dumb gym challenge or artificial roadblocks

Nope, it’s just not excellent or spectacular and it forced man babies who only play Pokémon on 3DS to upgrade, so because it wasn’t a flawless masterpiece like such gems as X&Y, ORAS and USUM, it was a tortanic, a big flopporino, a big uh oh stinky. There are bad implications for the future in changes they’ve made this gen but as it is the game is still good.
Not everyone of the 20 billion who bought is the drooling retard several vocal minority anon’s on here will lead you to believe.

I don’t know, I’m a casual Pokémon fan when it comes to the games. I have fun with everything including competitive and once I finally get tired of everything I put it down and play something else.

Yes. I've never felt so let down playing a Pokemon game before. I figured even if they were bad I always at least find fun during a playthrough but not with SWSH. They feel even more unfinished then XY, they're not fun, they're ugly, they're so unpolished, easy even by Pokemon standards, and the wild area is one of the worst inclusions in any Pokemon game because it's just a shitty empty field with no real content. The DLC fixes certain things but it doesn't fix the base game.

And what they're doing with Bastard Diamond and Shitty Pearl is unforgivable and I can't believe I even thought about picking up Sword/Shield because I knew they would be dogshit.

On their own they aren't terrible, just extremely mediocre and lacking the amount of content of some past games (especially with post game considered). The DLC fixes some issues but of course has that $30 price tag attached to it. With the DLC, it probably falls somewhere around the middle of the game rankings (though this does not take price into consideration). When many of us look at these games, I think a lot of us consider it 'good', but 'good' shouldn't be all that we get out of such a huge and popular franchise. The resources are there something amazing and that's what we want. With all the lackluster though, I do have to admit that the QoL changes are godly.

Stop with this "DLC fixed everything" shit. The DLC's are their own thing, they didn't fixed all the main issues of the main game. The story is almost no existent and the one time it shows up it's Rose being very retarded, wild area still and empty fucking mess, citys are empty or corridors, online was gimped to a 20 minutes, The battle tower is a joke, raids are boring slugfest and you need to pay online to use it with friends, etc. The DLC are their own thing, they didn't made tge maing game magically better, and while they aren't bad they don't justify 30 bucks.

They're memorable in how they're designed but there's nothing memorable about them in terms of content. It's flash with no substance. There are cities in past games that have little substance to them but with SWSH it just felt so much more apparent.

So much wasted potential. The game simply was not finished. There is a really good story there but they never give it to you. Far too much hand holding, and Leon stealing the show for absolutely no reason. Graphic glitches, animations subpar, same recycled 3d sprites turning most mons into balloons. That said it was playable as a pokemon adventure if you imagine it is for preschoolers. Galar is a interesting region but the layout was too Linear. If it got the love it deserved this could have been the best game since HGSS, but they needed another year to make that happen.
