I like hoenn and sinnoh just because they feel the most whole. There is a lot to explore based on HMs and a lot of little shortcuts you can game to get around without the need of fly (which I do not use anymore). Very nice.

Hoenn was always pretty fun, plenty of different environments and exploring under water to find new stuff was pretty fun, route 119 was always my favourite

I really dig Sinnoh, feels like the most continuous region by far. It has some pretty diverse biomes like the tundra and marshlands but yet none of them feel out of place. All the cities & routes placements feel natural too unlike some other regions and the cities are really good, shit like Orenburgh, Floaroma Town, Sunyshore, most of them are pretty memorable.

Almost every route in Unova was larger than 90% of Hoenn. Routes like your picture were the exception in RSE, not the average.

Johto. I like the lore and all the towns/cities. It's the only region that I really wish I could live in. Also, gen 1 and 2 pokemon make up most of my favorite pokemon.

Don't forget the desert route, which is actually considered the same route as the grassy portion as well. Also that long optional route south of mt pyre. A couple of the water routes are really long as well.

Alola definitely. Pokemounts were really great there. Way better than the Kalos ones. Routes are good and there are many different pokemon available to catch in early game in USUM.
