They will probably rename the National Dex to the Expanded Dex or whatever.
Hell at this point I am not even sure if these games are going to have all 493 Pokemon in it that were in D/P...

"Faithful remake" there will be a Nationdal Dex containing the 493 from the original DP. That's all.

Do you really need them in order to awaken regigigas lore wise?
I always tought that regigigas was awaken by ice metal and rock because they were hard materials that form the continents

Got no idea you couldnt find gen3 regi either in the game
It could be a mechanic tied to linking the games to swsh which would means you need to spend two game pass one for the bank and one for the switch online as well as swsh plus dlcs only to get one single legendary
