For the last week or so I've been doing Zygarde raids in the attempts of getting a shiny one. In all that time I failed to have a single shiny encounter. When I wasn't playing I was just putting the Switch in standby so the game was still running.

Today I got paranoid/superstitious and thought that shutting the game down properly and restarting might improve my odds. What happens? I encounter 3 shinies in 10 raid attempts (Bellosom, Blaziken and a Magmar). Is there something to this and there's a way the shiny RNG is "seeded" on the game's launch? Or is it pure coincidence?
