I like the wonky DP teams that aren’t exclusively monotype. I want me boss battles like that in Pokémon tbqbh. Make everybody like that. Fantina has some Ground types Bertha traded her. Candice keeps a Talonflame on her team to keep warm/battle fighting types. Idk. Just more nuance to characters and their teams than before. GF has went hard as fuck trying to capitalize off trainers in the last few years, but their relationships with each other and their teams still feel just as hollow.

Eh I a think SwSh did it pretty good too. Almost every major character has a relationship with another character or two and it isn’t just “we’re friends!”. Still close to surface level but it’s progress compared to the first 3 gens
