27 years old boomer here. I started playing pokemon at 6 with Red and Blue and stopped at Emerald and Fire Red in 2004.
Since I was bored in lockdown, I wanted to try Pokemon Sun because I like most of the 7 gen pokemon but holy shit if this game is SLUGGISH as hell. The pacing seems wrong. In the first 30 minutes you have to watch a ton of useless cutscenes and even when you start wandering free you get interrupted all the time because of some useless tutorial. Everything seems so fucking slow and it's almost a pain. Does the game keep being so sluggish all the time or is it just the beginning? I really like 7 gen mons design but I can't endure this pacing throughout all the game. I don't care about the plot, I just want to catch cool pokemons that I like and make them fight.
