Yes I have seen an alligator before in fact I have seen way better designed cartoon alligators that dont have a giant red rocket dick for a nose

Raichu is orange which is a sensible jump from yellow on a color scale. Jumping from beige to fucking bright red is a huge leap of logic.

Krookodile is a gharial, not a gator (nor a crocodile despite what its name implies). Gators have broad and flat snouts, gharials have long, thin snouts with a bump on the nose area.

Being a different color doesn't make it overdesigned, being 5 destinctly different colors that likely clash make it over-designed.
