Why don't they just make the games balls hard?
I'm being somewhat hyperbolic because Mt. Moon and Cynthia (etc) were never really THAT hard if you were paying attention, but that level of challenge would be nice to see again.
You know how much people love Dark Souls. Few games are so hard that they actually wall people.

The """hard""" mode in Gen 5 is garbage and plays exactly like the piss easy normal mode except your Pokemon just end up higher level than usual.

Single battles are simpler than double battles because there's no dynamic play between allies. This would also mean EVERY SINGLE TRAINER has at least two Pokémon. If it's toggleable as well, people will have nothing to complain about because the choice is yours.

I play both, they're hard for their own reasons. Losing a Showdown match is not nearly as consequential as whiting out in a hardcore Nuzlocke. You have to be way more careful in the latter.

I litterally never fainted in the last 3 pokemon games, played through SwSh avoiding trainers and wild pokemon to reduce my level for the gyms. Replaying red was comparitively hellish, replaying pearl I've already had to catch pokemon I don't want to beat just the first gym. I HEEM'd every gym in Galar with just my corviknight. The game is easier, and posting the game over screen isn't going to prove anything.

No it is not, you are either willingly deciding to be retarded or a complete liar. Pearl is easy as fuck, the closest to "challenge" it has is Cynthia's sudden level leap, and even then you got a great shot at beating her anyway since like every trainer in every game they often choose random moves instead of the most useful ones.
