Am I misremembering, or was Skitty really popular back in the day? I remember seeing it everywhere, from anime/movie promotions to merchandise. It used to share space with Pikachu. But all of sudden, it's gone, like it was never there. Thinking of Skitty today feels like it was never really a Pokémon and was a Digimon or something. So was Skitty really popular, or was it something my mind made up? If it really was popular, how did it decline so much?
