I really don't care for the modern Pokemon anime character redesigns. The face proportions look wrong and everything looks less detailed

Alola is boring and so are the "le funny meme characters" and was only noteworthy when Brock and Misty cameo'd and Ash winning the league. The Alola girls' designs are nice but designs alone cannot carry an anime alone especially when the characters behind those designs are devoid of all personality.
