I have never enjoyed a gen 3 game.
>Been playing since gen 1
>Front to back exhausted gens 1 and 2 of content
>Get Sapphire when it comes out
>Even as a little baby middle schooler, I'm irked by it, I don't have as much fun as I had with the last two Pokemon generations and I originally threw in the towel and didn't bother to complete it until a friend loaned me a few of his powerful Pokemon to steamroll past the elite four (was past gym 8)
>Get FRLG, figure it will be a nice change of pace to revisit a gen I know I like
>I just end up fucking about with glitches in gen 1 instead, never get past like gym 4 in the GBA version
>Emerald comes out, decide the enhanced version might be the motivation I need to enjoy gen 3, read online about the new changes and battle frontier that I really wanted to see
>It's the same main game and I keep restarting the game as I try to find the motivation to push past gym 3 and never beat it before I lost the cartridge
>Do not beat Emerald or Fire Red
>However I did beat Colosseum and had a blast, trying to have a completed main game to bring my Colo bros too was the main motivation to beat a GBA game near the end
>Just go back to fucking around with my gen 1+2 carts
