But if a ''Johto re-remake'' ever happens, then my perfect version of it would be a game with normal battles and catching, with somewhat ''cartoony'' (anime-like, but not chibi) graphics. Generally a faithful remake of Crystal with lore elements more accented and polished (but without retcons or contradictions of Gen II canon). Includes stuff that didn't make it to HGSS (like room decoration, Wise Trio, PCC, Egg Ticket, Game Corner changed into an arcade with mini-games), including a faithful recreation of Japan-only Mobile Adapter events (even lost ones like ''Chieko Dice Game'', GF must have documentation for those in their vault). Kanto is in the game, expanded with stuff like open Lavender Radio Tower, Soul House, new Mewtwo plot with Berserk Gene (not repetitive HGSS shit), Celadon University. But all three-years changes in Kanto kept, no restored genwun shit. After 16 Badges, Sevii postgame, after which you battle Red. Protagonists are Ethan and Kris (in order not to pull some multiverse bullshit), designs more similar to GSC than HGSS (may be something in-between). Attention to detail, many unique character models (even for minor characters). Walking Pokemon, soaring, riding, some beta references. Relies on old Pokemon + their evos, with select nu-mons in Sevii.
