Honestly if it wasn't so easy and let you battle wild pokemon instead of only catching them it'd be the best game in the series. It has by far the best shiny hunting mechanics.

Damn right anon. Every Pokemon game would be vastly improved with a proper difficulty toggle. And if any of the Switch games had a totally optional 2D mode with older mechanics like Dragon Quest XI S, I might've actually played them.
