As somebody who really likes Gen 5, I don't want remakes, I don't want a third sequel, I don't want them to touch the game. It's not perfect, but I don't trust them to actually fix the problems, or at least not fuck everything else up while they do. If you think the cutscenes are bad now, imagine if they had 3D models moving around much slower, and N didn't talk at autistic speed. Not to mention whatever they replace the Dream World with will probably decrease your Pokemon options in comparison, although given how SS's raid support with I can see it going either way. If we do get a Gen 5 remake, I'd really want it to be a group of fans hired by TPC, like Sonic Mania, because I put more trust in them to make something good. Fuck, if they can make the game less 3D and improve the 2D assets, I feel like people might actually like it better than they do now. This isn't even getting into the music, one bad soundfont choice can turn a good composition or arangement into garbage, I don't like DP or XY's soundtrack pretty much entirely because of soundfont choices. Basically, if you like the game, remakes will only make it worse, and if you dislike the game, none of the problems you have with it will be fixed AND it's already a game you don't like to begin with. Aside from blind optimism, the only reason anyone would want a Gen 5 remake is if they wanted to actively upset people, which I'm not ruling out because this is 4chan.
