Zamazenta is so weird. It's actually annoying to play against in gen8 ubers since it can easily switch into defensive yveltal, taking < 6% from any of its attacks and forcing it out. On the switch it can use howl to get +1 attack and do a decent dent to the resulting pokemon. Unless you are running scarf ogre or specs calyrex it will deal a significant chunk to your switch.

TL;DR: Weird mon that isn't used for a reason but is surprisingly good against eternatus and defensive yveltal, two of the S class Ubers

I don't think there's ever been an instance where it was more obvious which version was meant to be the right one.
Zacian is so much better than Zamazenta that it's not even funny. It had to be intentional. Even GF can't fuck up that badly.

I mean, it technically does and by a large portion, but Zamazenta-C has Iron Defense, and not Sword Dance, Working off your Defensive stats is just better since you effectively invest into 2 Stats for the price of 1, and no Stat Drops.

The Fighting-type move that scales off of Defense just happens to come out in the same gen as a Fighting-type legendary who's based around Defense and has an ability that boosts Defense? It couldn't be more obvious.
