Just Emulate. Unless you need to do some kind of complex transfer. There's no speed puzzles in in Red/green. So the virtual buttons are not a problem

You dont need a physical game, you can dowload the roms (game files) from online. The save data is stored on your phone or computer. You need an app like Myboy advance for Android or virtual bot advance on PC. There's no need to spend any money on physical products.

okay but what about compatibility with the gamecube games? I'm trying to build a living dex.

I'm already using a softmodded wii to run ISO files for the gamecube side of things. If a rom of the GBA games on an everdrive are compatible then all I need at this point is a GBA Link cable.
