The guy who drew the May/Serena art meeting did another one for Misty/Dawn this time in DP anime style, I guess a "what if" Misty actually showed up back in DP.

It's actually scary how close this guy can copy the animes art style. If you didn't know better you'd assume this was a real screenshot.

BW was more wasted potential then anything.The writers came up with a ton of cool ideas and they never really executed them that well. Also not doing a proper PWT arc was such a missed opportunity.

Sometimes I go back and forth whether Johto or BW was the animes weakest saga. Sometimes I honestly think BW is better:

- The battles in BW on a whole is better than Johto's, as well as the animation

- Ash's Johto team was disappointing during the actual saga, and his BW team wasn't great either. But his BW pokemon do get proper showcasing besides a few.

- Misty does so little in Johto she might as well be non-existent for 90% of the episodes. Iris could be annoying at times but she had a good chunk of eps where she did things

- Johto is bloated with filler, BW's back half is filler but the pacing in the beginning is really quick

So I dunno. There's some things Johto does much better but it's all at the tail-end of the series, and part of it is nostalgia. But had BW come first I think BW would have been considered better.

If Johto was written the way Kanto was I wonder if I would have been one of those people bitter that Misty left. I'd probably still really like May anyway, but part of the reason I was so indifferent about Misty leaving even as a kid/teen was because her character got so dull over the course of Johto. If they kept her more interesting I might have had a different reaction toward her going.

Because the League was complete shit, some of the battles were shit (Elesa specifically among others) and it opened by saying Ash was 10 and the Pikachu that literally went toe-to-toe with a Latios like 3 episodes earlier losing to a brand new Level 5 Snivy.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed most of BW, just the stuff that was shit was often so shit that it wrote the whole series of for a lot of people even though the not shit stuff that made up most of it (at least before the League) was generally good.

I know many people hated the art, but this was my return to the pokemon series after Johto. I loved it so much. Glad they went back and visited but it saddened me that Ash left Lycanroc. Like, can't he start a single new journey with a pokemon he had in the previous series asides Pikachu?

I just realized that in Koharu might be a human version of Phione when it comes to "main character" vs "supporting character". For context, wikipedia lists Koharu as a main character whereas Bulbapedia lists her as a supporting character.

I really have problem deciding who's prettier between Misty & Dawn.
One side, Dawn looks more feminine and has better hair style while other side Misty looks more competent and has red hair that makes her look attractive.

Honestly I can't help but feel that Misty could have easily surpassed all the girls if she just had better hair style but both the anime and game are obsessed with giving her spikiest hair and make her look like a guy. Its like they can't understand the difference between Tomboy & cross-dresser.

I am not even a Misty fans considering that I am an Advanceshipper.

Besides Elesa and the Cameron stuff, BW's battles as a whole were better than Johto's, Including most of the Don battle tournaments.

The animation is also lightyears better. You can't compare 2001-2002 animation to 2011-2013 animation. Sometimes I think people forget how "dated' the old animation during Johto was. Johto had worse animation than Kanto too for that matter, as the hand drawn art didn't look as good.

One example sure, it's not the whole season. Johto didn't even have many battles in fillers besides that, most of the Johto fillers just have Ash vs. Team Rocket with a quick blast-off and not much else.

Why do you think when people think of Ash's Johto pokemon themselves, not many battles come to mind? Because they were hardly in any battles. Totodile and Noctowl just got 1 Gym battle each, Phanpy and Heracross didn't get any, and Cyndaquil did the bulk of the battling, while Bayleef only got Chuck after evolving.

The OS wasn't about battling at all. It took all the way till AG for the writers to make the show more battle centric including in fillers.

As someone who grew up with the OS and watched Johto regularly as a kid, it really wasn't very good from a battle standpoint. I remember sitting there waiting for Ash's Johto starters to evolve and they pretty much never did. I remember hoping Totodile would get a Gym win or Noctowl would start using Confusion attacks during johto, it never happened.

Cyndaquil should have evolved during Jasmine's Gym battle and it was the perfect time. Heracross should have been brought back for one Gym battle later on in the series too.

And I don't have to go into detail about how Misty/Brock barely battled at all. Until the tail-end of Johto, Misty has almost no battles outside the Totodile duel ep and briefly in that Seaking catching contest. And no blasting off TR with Staryu for 10 seconds doesn't count.

If Anipoke wants to biffo everybody & show a big middle finger to all the shipper like Evergelion final for being so obsessed with pairing children than they will pick the one girl that nobody wants to ship with Ash a.k.a Iris.

Sure there were some Negaishipper but it died as soon as Iris caught Dragonite. Even now , Nagaishippers remain hidden because they will be ridicule by everybody if they express their support for Negaishipping & defend Iris.

I on the otherhand want Iris to grow into an adult as or more beautiful than Ishizu Ishtar. I hate the fact that Iris is globally considered to be the least cutest lead girl on Anipoke.

This is so weird. The episode summary is strongly suggesting that Goh is getting Grookey, but the magazine scans has it next to Koharu. While it could simply mean that there's not enough space in front of Goh but they had to put Grookey somewhere, the fact that it's to the right of Yamper is ringing "maybe it's going to Koharu?" bells after all. It's like that magazine scan spoiling Goh getting Sobble all over again.

The series will stop using Ash's goal as the main goal and instead use "Villainous Plot" from new generation game as the main plot which will least for 3 or 4 years before another generation games comes out. There will be slime of life comedy filler in-between villainous arc to make the series less edgy. There will be new pokemon with new main legendary & villain therefore Anipoke will always have material for new villainous plot.

Example : Ash and Goh learn about hidden Ninja villain on Kanto where Koga was born. A new evil ninja clan is dissatisfy with current world so they want to take control over the world with an Ancient weapon who's key is hidden all over the world. Goh is being replaced. Goh is the Gen 8 representative. His starter is from Galar. He has a Smartphone Rotom, which is from Gen 8. Him staying put when he started his journey with a Gen 8 Pokemon doesn't make sense, since him starting out with Scorbunny was meant to promote said generation. You're almost certainly right about Ash bringing his old starters to shill legends down the line.
But I think probably Goh will get all three Galar starters but end up trading Sobble to Ash and gifting Grookey to Chloe before an arc based on legends.
Sobble will teach Ash how to battle more strategically & be more observant, and Grookey will want to express himself instead of battle but be protective of Chloe also.
