It obviously never about gameplay or any of the horseshit shill reasons they stated. It was just a thin excuse because they were rushed and needed a Switch Pokemon stat and cut corners, then realized that they could even weaponize that by selling the national dex back to you in pieces and not even sell back 100% of it. From now on, the people who invented “let’s sell the same game twice, they’ll pay two times to get the other dozen Pokemon” and who brought you “lol and let’s add a few more and the rest of the dungeons then sell it a third time or even a fourth time”...those same fucks have now brought you “let’s just make half of the game dlc and launch a year early, reddit will go to bat for us no matter what we do”.
Remember, Pokemon Sun, Moon, US, and UM are one game sold on 4 cartridges.
