>>46492931Take it from someone who has been an eBay seller for years. I've bought and sold antiques, cars, even Bitcoin.
This is ATH (all time high) and a bubble. What we're seeing is people panicking and thinking the prices will keep on rising forever, buying "now that they still can", making the situation even worse.
Trust me, every seller out there is putting their cards on eBay with the intention of simply wanting to try if anyone bites and makes them rich. If I had the rare Lillie I'd list it at 8k too, because I want a new car. But if anyone offered me at least 3k I'd consider it, because it's just cardboard and the fact I even listed it means that I don't like it that much.
The best thing you can do is give a ridiculously low offer and refuse to meet his price. Then just disappear and check the prices again later this year. I can guarantee you that they will be lower then.
I remember when Cynthia was 70 euros and I ended up buying a shit condition one. Later that year a mint one was 29 euros.
Even the rarest and most expensive cards will come down because we sellers just want to get our shit sold. If we list it on eBay it means we're willing to let it go, unless you're a fag who fake lists at high prices just to create a hype.
