journeys is the only good pokemon anime. the pacing is fast, characters are more dynamic, the pokemon can be really cute (i miss you scorbunny), and it has some genuinely funny gags. only problem with it is team rocket episodes but i feel like almost all pokemon seasons had this problem.

Team rocket are great in Journeys because they aren’t constantly following a little kid and his pet as their sole responsibility. TR are just doing their own thing and occasionally they’ll cross paths with Ash and company. The most recent episode where Meowth and Wobuffet did the turtle race with Jessie’s Chewtle was one of the best episodes this year and it was only half of an actual episode
