I actually think they should go back to the gen 1-2 ev system, where you can max out every stat
The meta game would be more balanced and therefore this way

I agree just because in main game I jate when my physical attacker gets special attack evs. I know you can reset or adjust evs post game it just bothers me. I can see a flaw though in being able to max out all stats, it would take a lot longer to have battle ready pokemon especially if it was like gen 1/2. I never did it but from what ive read it takes forever and you need like a spreadsheet and a calculator. Maybe like a combo of todays system and the old. Like each stat can get up to 100 evs. Idk. I hate natures too because its irritating catching a modest machop or something. I know you can synchronize and shit and i do like the variety and personality it gives but I dont think it should affect stats.

i agree with the change, but the grinding associated with getting a pokemon with the right nature, ivs, and evs is a big part of the "content" of the game which means itll never happen. And yes i know swoosh made it easier to change all that shit, but you still have to grind for your herbs and bottlecaps etc which is a pain.

maxing every stat is the same as not having ev's, that's just for trained mons to be stronger than wild ones.

I agree that the current Nature + EV system doesn't mesh well with pokmeon. I appreciate that Gen 3, had a new idea in mind and ran with it (the gen 3 battle frontier really showcased what GF envisioned with EVs and natures), but I agree that another change is due. I think it's such a waste when a pokemon is given two great offensive stats, but you almost always must pigeonhole said pokemon into using either only physical or special attacks only because doing otherwise is inefficient and puts you at a disadvantage.

EV's definitely need to be reworked.
Most sets just use the standard 252/252/4.
I'm not sure what could be done to encourage more Chinese EV spreads, though.

Make it so you can max out 3 EV's instead of just 2.
That keeps mixed attackers from getting screwed.
