No. No they aren't. Stop saying this. Mega Evolution is a fundamentally retarded idea regardless of how they execute it. There is no case in which wasting time designing and modeling form changes for dozens of Pokemon and making some Pokemon ONLY good when they use a gimmick form with limited team building options that can't hold any items is better than simply balancing the regular fucking Pokemon, which only takes a few seconds of changing move/ability/type values in a text editor.
