Honestly, royalty is a thing that often goes ignored, its seen as a thing that people did in the past and thats it, something that you read on school history books.
Even if there are still kings and queens in modern-era first world countries, we see them as pseudopolitical celebrities.
With the exception of course of the queen of England and the Pope, we do know they are still emperors and they have a shit ton of power.
