What pisses me off about this whole fad more than anything is that the TPCi has treated westerners like shit in terms of pull rates and products. They're making a shitload of money right now though, so they have no incentive to change that. The Blastoise/Venusaur V decks are a good example, they were VMax decks in Japan, instead of just Vs. They had two V cards and a VMax, and even came with a lot of good competitive cards, and even the alternate art supporters we had lumped into Shining Fates.

i'm just unimpressed with the standard pokemon models, and i think it's disappointing to see them used outside of the games (i mean, it's been disappointing enough to see them used for three separate generations with next to no tweaking or updates).

That's just tpci standardizing their appearance to make the games easier to make. It's lazy but smart I guess. I don't like it either, especially their 'cutening' up a lot of Pokemon. But I pulled that fa shiny greninja the other day I didn't hate that one either but it's a very active pose that really conveys greninja as a pokemon while showing of all the mon instead of half of it's body cut off or else being crammed onto the card

I have misophonia and my life was completely ruined by it. Couldn't study, so naturally I couldn't get a job either. And without a job I couldn't get out from the noisy apartments and get a good life for myself. It became a vicious cycle.
And I only have like 500 bucks worth of cards.
I didn't buy cards or BTC last year, but all my happy and healthy friends did, and their lives got even better. Sigh.
