I got filtered by him too. That was the point where I started actually EV training my Pokemon and thought about team composition. For the battle itself I trained up a Mabster with Drain Punch.

I'm getting kokedge and grasshole to 37 before I try again. Just been grinding and evolving my boxed mons for now, pretty comfy. Just annoying to keep hitting brick walls but the game is fun.
