The only canon Pokémon games are the first versions of their respective generations. R/B, G/S, R/S, etc.
Third versions and remakes are NON CANON.
Spinoffs like Colosseum, Gale of Darkness, and Lets Go are NON CANON.
Pokémon Go is also NON CANON.

Its not a mainline game so if we only consider those then obviously not.
But it does have many connections to the main games including a mon that can only be obtained there(though opening that can of worms might not be for the best as Manaphy also used to be such a case).
Some people also think that's where Rainbow Giovanni went after USUM but there's also Masters as an option and that was stated to at least be written to be compatible with canon.

Only as mich as any side game technically existing in an alternate pokemon universe. The main canon is just the 2 or 3 timelines of the mainline games.

Pokémon GO is after Legend of Arceus but before RBY in the Pokémon timeline.

So Pokémon GO is canon.

It's in the mainline series, but not the timeline. It could potentially count as in the Mega verse though? Not sure.

Probably? It's the money maker in terms of games, so they'll probably push it in somehow. Plus Willow is getting his own TCG card iirc. And as much as people hate it, LGPE is deemed part of the mainline/core games. Now that there's established multiverses, timeline bullshit doesn't even matter so LGPE comfortably resides on its own, yet still counts as mainline. At this point I'm pretty sure "mainline" just constitutes as Pokemon games that follow the general nature of being able to catch, battle, and trade as you go on your journey, meaning GO fits the bill.
