I don't. I don't even want to see the females show up during the game. One flaw in HGSS is that they forced the gender you don't choose to show up in the story. Should've followed Crystal in that regard.

I think Hilbert and Hilda, Victor and Gloria and Selene and Elio work better as brother and sister.

Other protagonists are better as separate people.
That's just my preference, not a supposition of canon.

Been having an idea to basically writefag out my idea of how I'd do a 'ultimate red/blue' remake which actually involves Leaf as Red's sister. She sort of serves as a secondary rival, though closer to canon Blue than my own version (who is borderline a villain and pulls shit like leading Team Rocket to jump Red, abandoning his own starter, and outright sabotaging a path so he Red and Leaf miss their gym battles).

This is what i want to believe for Sun and Chicken-chan. Since the other one doesnt exist in the game if you dont choose them, i see them as alternate gender versions of each other. Like, Sun is just Chicken-chan if she was born as a boy and vice versa.
For other pairs like hilbert and hilda, the other one is in the battle subway, and therefore exists in the same universe and i think of them as siblings

Me. Most of them do in fact look like they are siblings. The ones that appear in the games as their own characters when you don't play as them are the only ones that wouldn't make sense, for obvious reasons, though they being cousins/distant cousins wouldn't be hard to believe

I can see Kris being Ethan's older sister.
Hilbert and Hilda are twins.
Red/Leaf, Elio/Selene and Victor/Gloria are R63.
The only ones I'm not sure about are Nate and Rosa. Everybody else has a role outside of being a protag.

They technically also have a "role" outside being protagonists since you find the one you aren't playing as in Nimbasa, and you both have a double battle against the train guys, but I don't know if that really counts
