>>46522446Shut the fuck up. Pokemon is out of their element. Experimentation can be very cool for a series but it shouldn’t come at the cost of its core principles. You could give me some super game with procedurally generating regions and open worlds to explore and I wouldn’t give a fuck if there were missing pokemon. If I want to play a game for open world exploration, I’ll play new Vegas or maybe morrowind. Like how I don’t expect a huge variety of enemies to fight in those games, I don’t go to pokemon looking for some grand open world trek.
Granted its more on GF because they insist they have to pump a game out every single year. If they just did like 2 a generation and went back to 4 years between gens instead of 3, things would probably pick up. There hasn’t been a gap year since 2015. If it went more like SM in 2016, USUM in 2018 and then SWSH in 2020, there probably wouldn’t be much wrong with those games. Instead we are drip fed pointless games every year, no one asked for let’s go and it came at the cost of time that could’ve been spent on USUM or SWSH, and making dlc for SWSH and legends will probably affect gen 9.
Also I don’t think you can preorder legends thru switch yet so OP may be a bit of a strawman
