I ragequitted but then when I came back, some hours later, I realized I had a save state.
Earlier that day I encountered two Croagunk that I wanted to catch but my Ponyta one shotted them both with a critical hit. I was mad and I spent 20 minutes running back and forth to find another one, and when I found the third one I made a savestate before attacking. Thank you Zeldon for reminding me to save.
