Just a reminder, if Pokemon as a game series finally expands to have actual quality animations, following mons, ALL mons in one national dex, a huge open world with Unreal Engine levels of graphics, wild mon interactions, good character development for all relevant characters, online that DOESN'T lag (much), runs at 30 fps at least and still costs 60 bucks WITH frequent updates rather than paid dlc, has little to no hand holding and still has an amazing plot, what then? Does the series just end there?

I mean, you just explained why that will never happen. Nintendo and Gamefreak know that if they make "ultimate games" they'll have to "be better than ultimate" everytime, and that's just not feasible for their dev time time table

>>46526153 This is off topic but the huge design contrast between that cartoony but realistic hare and full blown cartoon fucking rabbit says a lot about nu-gen design philosophy. Not that that's everything that's wrong with pokémon games, and hell, Bunnelby is a gen 6 mon.

>>46526353 First baby starters like Scorbunny is designed to sell plushies. Bunnelby is designed to be a regular faggy early route shitmon that resembles an IRL creature to the Nth degree so the normalfag pansies playing these games don't freak the fuck out and drop the games after 7 minutes of playtime. Each design has a concerted, committee approved purpose, now whether you like it or not because its not "cohesive" as a whole according to your own standards is another thing entirely.

Bede's rival fights are the worst when it comes to this.

>>46526399 Yeah, which also take a lot of time and effort to produce from their limited resources.
Maybe if they re-worked it, they could make a special pokemon game, but that would permanently alter how they would have to manage development.
