yes. i remember going there the first time and seeing a holo charizard and flipping shit and i ended up getting it for my bday
it's actually still open just relocated they still sell cards but its mostly comics store with tables for dnd and card tourneys
i still go by sometimes even tho its out the way because i know they need the business

I'm starting to become alienated from the hobby because I'm not autistic enough to get hardcore into the card game itself and not anal enough to care for condition/grade/market value/vintage cards. dude as long as you enjoy the hobby, keep doing it. I don't care about what other people think of my collection or what cards I collect because I do it out of pure enjoyment. I don't collect base set because I can't afford it and I don't really like the plainness of the art. Also who doesn't like opening fresh packs? I would be spending more on fresh packs, but the stock here is severely limited and overpriced.

I am shocked he was so stupid to have such a large sum of cash in his car.. like how they fuck does that happen and it's not a targeted attack? He said he had the money to buy vintage packs in his car.. that has to easily be a few grand.

He also said in previous video that he lost a lot of sentimental things too because it was around Pokemon day, so I'm guessing even more vintage stuff was jacked. It really makes me wonder if he just had the boxes and cash in open view vs. storing it in his trunk.

They just got back to me today and are refunding me the money of one Shining Fates pack! My advice? Laminate the cards. The heat from the laminate will create an airtight seal for your cards to set in. This will prevent dust from entering in or scratches from ever appearing on your holos. I've been laminating my cards forever and contrary to popular belief, they have remained in good condition.

I think people finally realized that there is actual value in old Pokemon cards like there is when it comes to old MTG cards. Historically some of the most expensive cards in the Pokemon scene were like barely above the $1,000 mark which is absurd to think about when you consider how shit like Power Nine in MTG can be considered legitimate financial assets. Being a MTG player you should know that this same shit literally happened in the mid-2010's with the insane reserved list speculation, buyout and eventual recession.
