it is truly head-scratching what GF's thought process was behind making movesets for pokemon back in the day. Not only that but also stats. Why would Sharpedo have such a huge attack stat if it cant use it with any stab moves?? I'm just glad they realized how retarded they were and did the physical/special move split

I appreciate that it's a starter that gets more useful in the lategame instead of less useful but man being stuck with absorb for so long is awful. ORAS unfucked it a bit, at least.
Swampert is so good the other two shouldn't either bother showing up, much like infernape in DP and primarina in SM
