>>46533195I can forgive Fire, Water and Grass since those are the basic 3 elemental types and they suit an early game environment for the first 3 or 4 gyms, but I can't excuse Ground and Dark being so woefully underrepresented.
Ground is a lategame type since I guess most normalfags will assume its just Rock due to the clusterfuckton of Geodudes and Gravelers they defeat in any other game, and lots of Ground types know Earthquake and kill a fuckton of types. Still doesnt excuse their reluctance on using it more often. The true tragedy here is Dark type. Only until Gen 7 did they have Nanu, but still technically no gym. And Piers is the closest we get to a Dark type gym leader, but again GF treats it like some shameful thing where you have to fight him in some alleyway and make a big deal about how theyre "forgotten" just cuz the town has no Dynamax to use. Why cant they just make a regular ass gym challenge with Dark? Why are Japs such fucking pussies about this? Muh honor muh underhandedness. Would be great to have an 8th gym be dark and have the leader just be an asshole Knocking Off your items and Taunting you, with smug punks making fun of you for even trying the gym and fucking with you mentally. Would be a sorely needed boost of soul in these sanitized as fuck games. Its been YEARS and the rivals are still weaklings.
