It's seriously amazing with how little effort they could salvage the quality of the franchise, it'd take less than what indie studios do for a crumb of the relative profits.
Fanatics still act like GF and Pokemon are a garage operation working on a shoe string budget and not the actual fact that it's the biggest franchise in the entire fucking world. They have the resources to easily do what Zelda, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, or any other Jairpg series do do but they choose not to... and idiots rush to defend them.
