Tell me your favorite Pokemon memories!
I have two.

One was when I was a kid. While looking for a Skitty in Emerald for the trade in the BF, I found a random shiny Nincada and went insane. First ever legit shiny to my memory.

Second was going to Nintendo World for Platinum's release. This was where the racist Gengar was distributed. I remember the employees had to go around and tell people it was a virus and not do download it. It just stuck to me as I had no clue why it was bad when I was a kid. Years later I laugh my ass off at it since it was so stupid.

I remember getting my first Shiny that wasn't the Red Gyarados, or any of the guaranteed shinies in BW2. It was a shiny Scraggy in Omega Ruby. I unfortunately lost it, but I did hunt for another one.

Playing the Stadium games with my brother and cousins. Finding a discarded Gengar toy in a garbage bin at school during Pokémania. Teaching others how to use emulators in medschool and givig them tips about the games. Playing "Who's that Pokémon?" with the classroom projector using official artwork as slides, there was an awkward silence at Lopunny until someone yelled "Playboy Bunny" and everyone laughed. Later a teacher found a drawing of Lopunny in a notebook and said "it's a sexy rabbit!" out loud.

I remember back in the day me and my cousin were playing both Diamond and pearl, we were pretty close in terms of completion so we were just trading and battling.

You see back then we didn't have internet or any of the official guidebooks so we pretty much were in the dark when it comes to what the games offered. I was just waling around route 214 and notice that a new path suddenly appeared, I told my cousin to check it out but he didn't have the path (he still didn't beat the elite four) I literally waited for him to finish so that we explored the area at the same time.

We discovered Turnback cave and had a lot of laughs exploring it, noticing that it was a damn maze. We didn't expect much though as we probably thought it was just a high level area with some new items to pick up....until I stumbled into the last floor.

I remember myself screaming out of shock at the sight of Giratina, I saved the game like a thousand times out of fear that the DS could've frozen or something while my cousin was trying to find the damn room desperately so that we can fight the satan monster at the same time (again we didn't know jackshit about the pokemon at the time so before the battle we called it that)

We both started the battle and Giratina pretty much toyed with us as we didn't have a good team at the moment (we were literally leveling up some pokemon) and it went for hours trying to capture it, until we got him.

It still remains my favorite pokemon memory because of how impactful it was for me and my cousin, discovering Giratina out of the blue with no knowledge of it's existence, and on top of that with how crazy it's design is, we were excited as hell and scared.

Funny thing is on that same month something similar happened but with Heatran.

I want to join in and post fun memories I have of this series but I don't have any. The only fun ones come from when I would spend long amounts of time playing Mystery Dungeon because those are the only Pokemon games I can think of that aren't a complete slog to play.
Also I really want an Audino for an older sister.

You're very lucky to have been there. That was history. I would have been very lucky to have my own racist Gengar and I would cherish him to this day.

I'm >>46539951 and I too was addicted to PMD for a while, specifically the Explorers games. I didn't like the originals much because the story was weaker but I eventually went back to them. To this day I still like playing them every so often, mostly PMD2 and Super. I wish Mystery Dungeon wasn't so niche in America, it would be great if the Chocobo games had been remade for the 3DS.

When DP was first released some classmates and I had a race to see who could finish it first. Not close friends or anything, just random people who shared a period and happened to find out we were all going to get the new game. A small miracle since it was high school and most of my peers considered Pokemon "uncool"

Back in about maybe 2013, I had an emulator and Emerald downloaded on this shitty tablet. My family and I decided to visit my niece, who was about three at the time. I brought over that tablet and she wanted to watch me play it. I caught a Seviper that day after searching for a while, since I wanted to add it to my team. Seviper has became one of my bromons since it reminds me of that day.
Brought a DSi over at a later time and she covered it in stickers. This was when I found out that she had a whole hoard of sticker sheets and loved to cover everything she owned in them. That DSi is still engulfed in tiny stickers now, and looking at it always makes me smile.
