>>46540114Point is, from what I did play the game wasn’t fun. It was boring, and the stylistic choices of it all just don’t fit Pokémon. I’ve played many Pokémon spin-offs but this takes the case for the worst, even worse than the typing game on the 3DS. The music is uninspired and doesn’t fit, the overall gameplay mechanics are too simplified to see any sort of competitive play, and there’s nothing to the game beyond ranking up. There’s no story. The bonuses and unlockables aren’t more Pokémon, but shitty cosmetics for the Pokémon. The Battle Pass is laughably ridiculous, and the overall learning experience is poor. Pokken had 1000s of tutorials and I still ended up having fun, but this game was just bad.
And the character designs suck. I hate the clash of 3D models for the player and Pokémon but 2D cartoon art for the other 4 characters
