due to covid, I sold my entire collections, one or more of every console ever made, with full PAL libraries, right now is a good time to sell, the retro bubble has yet to pop, covid wrecked my company so I had to sell everything I had collected since I was a kid. Years ago when I wanted to buy some super nintendo stuff, the prices for all the most well known or lauded games were ridiculous, and people wanted insane prices even for the shittiest-condition yellowed tobacco-stained cracked SNES consoles. I decide to check out japanese imports for the console and games, and everything was an order of magnitude cheaper, even factoring in shipping fees. And you don't need to read any dialogue in the types of games I like to play, so why the hell not?

Euro versions don't have any real value even if they are the same game. Euro versions are like fakes, they only have any value for people who can't afford real versions. If you just want to play the game you can buy a euro cart, a fake, or just get a rom. If, however, you want something that holds its value you get the American version.

I was just talking about their value being determined by another version. If there was no demand for the NTSC versions the value of the PAL versions would be much lower. Just like if there was no demand for real games the value of fake games would be much lower or they might not even exist. I'm not talking about originality or origin. Japenese ones are even cheaper than the PAL versions because they are not in English. As I stated the value of these games is determined by the American market. I don't know if I'm saying something insane or controversial but it seems simple and logical to me. If it was up to me these games would cost less than MSRP like used games usually sell for.

Yeah, I skipped gen 6 when it first came out and when I decided to pick it up, didn't like that the American version was almost $10 more. After doing some research I realized The World Editions work on American devices.

I own both a UK and US case for new Super Mario bros DS and the US case looks like a cheap, shitty replacement case you'd get from a used game store compared the the European version, not to mention the European cases look more like the cases for the 3DS compared to the American shit.
