>>46544939Every Gym Leader from Gens IV and V have enough of an interaction that I don't think they fall into forgettable territory, the closest in Gen IV is probably Byron but he's buffered by being related to Roark and Roark has 1st Gym Leader bias. Gen I's Gym Leaders are remembered more so due to being the first rather than their actual character, the most forgettable of them is probably Erika although my bias could make Blaine seem more memorable than he actually is. Gen II has Bugsy and Pryce who are just kinda there as far as Gym Leaders go, you don't get a distinct interaction out of them like you do the other five and Falkner again has first gym leader bias. Gen III has Winona, I wouldn't regard any of the first five gym leaders as forgettable since they all lead back into Norman, Winona meanwhile just comes off like some bump in the road on your way to Mt. Pyre or Tate & Liza and isn't as memorable as the twins or Wallace, Juan I would also consider to be close although like Byron he has that connection to another more memorable gym leader.
Gen VI is weird cause you got Korrina, Clemont and Wulfric who all have Gen IV/V levels of interaction and you've got characters like Valerie who are just that fucking weird that they stand out. Out of the other four, I think most people would say Ramos and I'm inclined to agree although Olympia I think is a close second, there's a good amount of time between Viola and Grant but Ramos is kinda like Winona in that they're more so an obstacle between more significant goals rather than the goal themselves. Olympia is just kinda inconsequential for me, although I do wish we got more out of her character. As for Gen VIII although the interactions aren't exactly anything to write home about, I'd say the only forgettable Gym Leaders are Gordie & Melony (internet's take on the latter aside) since they're just kinda there, similar to Erika in that sense.
