What if I told you I make my living by trading here in my home country?
I've literally made my living for years by buying antiques and collectables from people and selling them for profit on auction houses.

I don't make mistakes. I always buy at the lowest price at the moment, and sell for the highest price at the moment.
This can only mean that there is no demand for Pokemon cards and prices are still actually the same they were 2 years ago.

Here's my mail today. I'm pretty amazed because all three cards were ordered from different sellers (on the same day though) and they all shipped at different days. But they all arrived today. Honestly fucking live this lucario because it looks like it's aura sphere'ing the shiny ball. And it's pose is great. And I really like both these bird trio cards and I had the promo so now it's a complete set (idc about the rainbow rare card).
Also I know this isn't for playing card collections but I really like this deck that arrived today as well so I just threw it in the pic and I just realized as I went to upload it that it's upside-down in the pic whoops

This. I've been selling vintage dupes from my collection at fair prices and it's been slow going, slower as I've gone on. Most auctions I make don't get near the buy-it-now. Interest is dropping off except for maybe the most hyped stuff like Charizards.
Now we wait for prices to come down. I don't expect vintage to reach pre-COVID levels again but they will drop, and I will be happy to buy once again when they do. But it might be a while yet because lots of sellers want top dollar and won't budge.

Those dots? Holo-bleed, common on the lighter coloured cards from the DDPT era, Electric, Water and Normal were the worst for it, Dark, Grass and Fire were basically unaffected, Psychic, Steel and Fighting were a toss-up depending on the set and the print run.

You realize WotC is high because pokemon was unpopular and mostly collected by kids during. Otherwise every other set that got high was because it was unpopular at the time so it was less preserved. By definition, any general consensus on what should be "invested" in for cards/sets henceforth in the pokemon world actually devalues that card/set marginally anyway. Especially if that consensus is inversely popularly agreed to be slept on. They're defeating their selves at their own game, so let them step on each other's toes on a board meant for it, not a general openly against it

I wish they didnt included 2 normal packs with the jumbo cards cause then it would be easier to pick up. No one wants them as evidence shows with the pikachu binder still available in stores and online at gamestop and for over a week at the pokemon center.
