I really dislike how so many Pokemon just stand still in their models. Gen V's sprites had some issues, but there was so much more energy to them. Least Ludicolo's model still dances.

There are so few of the 3D models that actually have any character to them. Luddy, Mr. Mime doing his invisible box routine, primeape doing its shadow boxing routine. That's basically fucking it. The vast majority just stand there doing default blender poses

they weren't washed out they were only bright colored in the past because you weren't playing with a backlight so they increased color brightness to compensate you'd notice how official art work isn't this bright

Cofagrigus is my favourite pokemon, but I will say it's gen 5 animation is definitely pretty lacking. It being erratic is fine, that's what makes it's spider skittering in the anime and such so cool, but I never liked that weird hopping and balancing on the one corner of it's coffin, that always looked awkward as fuck to me.
The 3D idle animation isn't reaĺly that good either, but it's better that it's at least floating.

cofagrigus actually had a sprite change between BW and BW2; OP pic is from BW2. In BW, the blue "mohawk" part of its coffin disappears completely for some reason when it withdraws into itself. bulbapedia does not list both sprites, only the one from BW and incorrectly attributes it to BW2 as well.

besides this one and cottonee, im not sure if there were any more sprite updates.
