If I have a pokemon with both giga drain AND leech seed, should I go ahead and give him a big root? or is he better off with another item because he's a speedy speed boy rather than a tank not to be underestimated?

Usually something like Leftovers is better, since it's guaranteed recovery that doesn't require you to hit a Giga Drain or a Leech Seed, while also helping by reducing overall damage from hazards and weather conditions if you need to switch in and out a lot.

If its a speed mon then I'd use something else. Big root is usually good for tanky grass types that double up with leech seed and giga drain

if that's the case, should I even keep giga drain on him? or should I opt to trade Giga Drain's situational recovery for Energy Ball's reliable damage & random debuff chance? or should I trade all those for Leaf Storm's unreliable, superpowered, self-nerfing, slightly inaccurate, one-shot blast?
