Dragon with JET WINGS was mocked for years in the MH community, but despite the vocal minority of haters he’s quite well regarded nowadays. If Pokemon had come up with the concept first and made a legendary jet wings dragon as a box mascot then I don’t think the opposite version would have sold even half as many copies, regardless of how cool the other legendary was. It’s just one of those concepts that is simultaneously incredibly cool and fucking dumb as hell that you can’t help but like it.
