Why the fuck /vp/ thinks that if a game gives you a free Pokémon you're FORCED TO USE IT.

I keep reading complains of "FREE LATIOS" "FREE LUCARIO" on Gen 6 and I don't get why they don't just fucking box it.

Do they do some kind of autistic retarded playthrough? Do they just want to whine? I remember automatically boxing Latias when I got it in ORAS and I never thought that could be an issue until I came into this asperger-filled japanese imageboard.

It's a forced gift in the remakes that cheapens Latios/Latias as legendaries and you don't even get to put in the effort of capturing it with whatever pokeball you desire. No adventure, no mystery, no effort. And you get it because a Team grunt and Admin was bothering it for a bit in the middle of the main game. "FREE LUCARIO" by comparison isn't so bad but considering that they made Riolu pretty early to catch, it must've been a slap to the face for players who caught, bonded and evolved Riolu just to be forced to accept a second Lucario off the bat and mega evolve it for a epic clone battle instead of their own.

Nothing that was gifted on those games were rare. Lapras is literally a Gen 1 Pokémon that's gifted on previous games, Lucario isn't rare you get an egg gifted on DPP and you can catch them on the literal second town of B2W2. Latios/as is a legendary that was given away on WiFi several times and that was easily catchable on the Dreamyard on Unova games.

Normally you have to actually work to catch those pokemon. I had to catch the legendary birds in gen 1, Lugia/Ho-oh in gen 2, etc... Gen 6 just gives them to you for free.

It makes sense for it to come with you, specially for what comes afterwards with the Eon Flute. You all talk about "story story soul" and literally ditch all this arc in order to be able to shit a little about this game.
