Cool headcanon. Though canonically, Ho-oh turned them INTO the Beasts, they didn't die like that.
Might be cool to see the pre-transformation Beasts as normal mons, and later a certain few would get brought to Johto and die in the fire. Slightly more canon-friendly.

Accepted as a fan theory yes, but TPC has never confirmed or denied it themselves. In fact, they dodged the issue altogether by making the original forms silhouettes in the pokemon generations short.

Entei looks like a mix between a something like a tibetan mastiff and a lion. Easily the most undefinable beast.
Raikou looks like a sabertooth tiger.
Suicune does not at all look like a leopard. It looks like a dog as plain as the muzzle on its face.
